Meet the Team

Michael James
Founder & Licensed Builder

Evermore Construction is headed by licensed builder Michael James who has over a decade of experience working on high-value, high-quality developments across Sydney.

Starting his building career as a carpenter, Michael has worked alongside architects and trades to deliver premium projects from Sydney’s inner west and the Eastern Suburbs to the Northern Beaches, Sutherland Shire and everywhere in between.

He has an appreciation for timeless design styles, but applied with an understanding of modern living and layouts.

His wife Rachel is an interior designer and founder at studio lucchini, so they’re always talking about the best ways to design and build homes for modern Australian families.

Now a licensed builder and business owner, Michael loves using natural products and materials in his developments. Think limestone or travertine pavers, hardwood Australian timbers, and masonry, handmade ceramics and brick.

He is passionate about sustainable development, using materials that have the least impact on the environment or that conserve energy wherever possible. Like recycled or reclaimed timber or modern wall construction and insulation. And he likes repurposing and renovating homes in a way that respects architectural styles and the people that will live in it.

Most of all though, Michael loves working with his clients to design and build extensions, renovations and new homes that change the way they live for the better.

Creating and improving homes is such a personal service. That’s why working closely with clients, building trust and communicating with honesty and integrity is super important to Michael and his team.

Matthew Anjoul
Apprentice Carpenter

We love developing and building, including developing young talent like Matthew. Our resident apprentice, Matthew is hard-working, friendly and a great person to have on any work site.

He is big on football and keeping fit. And just like he does in sport, Matthew loves working as part of a tight-knit team at Evermore Construction as he works towards further developing his carpentry and building skills into the future.
